jetBlue has some great flights between now and the end of the season to get a little piece of a very good March — well over 200 inches at elevation — and what should result in epic spring conditions (at the very least) for April.
Current Epic Pass / Ikon Pass holders (Squaw = spring access free after April 9th for next year 18/19 pass holders) Ski / Ride Free at their respective resorts. Liftopia also has some killer end of Season Lift Ticket discounts at some local favorites for anyone without a full time pass.
L.A. to Lake Tahoe (Reno) has hovered in the $180 range — these cheap ski flights save 50% and get you there Non-Stop on jetBlue.
Hopefully you guys have been making the most of March at Mammoth. I have had my head down cranking on our new Backend search functionality all month but the shots coming in from the boys have been killing me.
Tahoe (North OR South) has been equally good and this is the first we see the airlines starting to discount the Ski based flight routes for the end of the season.
For reference $165 out of LAX is the NEXT cheapest flight out of ANY Los Angeles region airport to Lake Tahoe in the next month and a half.
Most of the best availability goes down toward the end of April but you can move back into the middle of the month for another $20-$40 to open some other resort options (Squaw will be open for sure, everyone else is more questionable by end April / May re: OpenSnow Closing Dates).
Here's what the jetBlue Calendar looks like. Ideally you want two of the $45 each way flights but obviously it depends on your schedule also.
You can book directly with jetBlue (using the calendar) or scroll down and use the individual date links we have setup on SkyScanner.
Right now SkyScanner (links below) is not showing the $89 flights where as they are bookable on jetBlue. My guess is that this probably relates to inventory not yet updating / publishing to their site.
