Southwest Airlines is hooking up some amazing Non-Stop Flights that stack with a $100 off coupon and their always free Ski Baggage (2 checked bags free!). That brings your flight AND 4-Star Condo for a week down to $700ish per person which is almost cheaper than you would normally pay for your lodging alone.

It's like booking one flight and getting the second one for FREE, not to mention free baggage for you and whoever you peer-pressure into coming along for the ride. There is a chance Lift Tickets are included in that price but I will update as I hear whether that is the case.

Newark to Denver Non-Stop (with bags) almost always runs $400+ — these cheap ski flights save almost 50% for anyone bringing skis and get you there Non-Stop on Southwest Airlines.

On it's face this deal may look more expensive than the previous $145 RT Delta deal, that is absolutely not the case once you count the Baggage fees. Bags when skiing are going to add up to at least $25 each way for your skis AND $35 each way for your second bag (assuming you aren't carrying on ALL of your gear) when flying with Delta, United or jetBlue.

That previous Delta deal also did not have a $100 off coupon to help subsidize your lodging (more on that below).

Why Ski with Southwest?

So I fly Southwest all the time. It has to be the single best way to get around during the winter when you are HOPING your headed into snow storm. Nothing is worse than not being able to bump your flight forward or back to avoid the worst of a Noreaster when taking off from New York or a blizzard when landing in Denver.

Southwest allows free change fees, hence it's my first choice. Today it's also the cheaper choice so I can't even get started on how stoked I am to have Southwest newly integrated into our search system.

Cheap Colorado Lodging Packages

So Southwest launched Southwest Vacations to offer incentives to book hotels / rental cars with them whenever you book a flight. It is a SEPARATE website that accepts SEPARATE coupon codes but occasionally there are some freaking amazing deals.

This happens to be one of them for anyone who has fun at Keystone, enjoys crashing in 4-Star Condo Hotels and gets even better if you have an Epic pass — and ski free there like I do.

Here's how it works out: The (4-Star rated) Keystone Lodge & Spa by Keystone Resort generally runs $200/nt+ during the winter. While it's not Ski-in-Ski-Out it IS on the shuttle route which is pretty solid.

The best I could find on Trivago was the first 3 weeks in March for $191/nt when booking for a week, here's a link to that so you can check it out:

Check to see the deal still works: Click through the above link, find the 4-Star Keystone Lodge & Spa and then click on the tile that looks like the image above to check to make sure the listing still exists on Hotels.com (that will let you know whether Southwest has access to it)

The math for a week would be $191 * 7 = $1337 which is still a great deal and generally at least 15% off what you would normally pay.

So to get there and get that price you would need to buy the $204 RT flight out of Newark which would make your total for two people (with flights and lodging) you would be looking at:

$1337 (Hotel) + $408 (Two flights) = $1745 Total.

DONT BOOK THAT WAY

Instead: take the dates found in the book your flight section and then book through Southwest Vacations, over here you end up getting the exact same setup (two flights and a week of 4-Star lodging at Keystone) for $1567 counting your full lodging and flight when you use Coupon Code: SKI100

The Southwest Vactions coupon code is listed with the following promotion:

Book a flight+hotel+lift ticket package to Vail, Tahoe, Park City, Breckenridge, Keystone or Beaver Creek & save up to $100. Code SKI100 . Ends 12/18.

Some dates you can use to get the above pricing:
3/1 - 3/7
3/7 - 3/14
3/14 - 3/21

Booking as a package through Southwest Vacations saves $178 which is almost like getting one flight for free (pretty awesome).

Cheap Colorado Lift Tickets

So the Lift Tickets need to be added to the package when you book by clicking on "View All Things to Do" button that is just under the rental car options. Looks like this:

For one week your Keystone tickets would be $324 which works out to $46 per day which is a seriously great price. Normally 7 lift-tickets would cost you $637 if you booked over on Keystone's website. meaning you save 50% on your passes by booking through Southwest as a Package.

How to Book

We aren't quite done setting up individual date links to work with Southwest (or Southwest Vacations) but the dates are the same ones you can find in February / March on either Southwest.com or SouthwestVacations.com to get the $204 Round-Trip Non-Stop flights Newark to Denver.

I also took a screen shot of the fare calendar below to save you the trip over there if you want to keep it simple.

Book your Flight and Go

Here are the dates from the SouthWest Fare calendar. You can see more if you hit the Southwest Airlines site (or Southwest Vacations) enter Newark (EWR) as your departure and Denver (DEN) as your destination. Then select Flexible Fares or click the image below:
